Illuminated Signs: Five Exclusive Advantages

illuminated-signs

There’s nothing quite like having a sign that lights up. Sure, it’s great to have a sign that sticks out from the crowd. And it’s also ideal to have a sign with high contrast (see our signage tips here). And more importantly, it’s vital to have a marketing strategy that will ensure that not only does your sign get noticed, it will help convert leads to customers.

But when a sign lights up at night, it becomes something else entirely. Don’t believe us? Take a look at five advantages you can only get from illuminated signs and no other type:

  • #1: 24-hour marketing. It’s as simple as that. You can plant a sign outside and it will stay there for 24 hours a day, but that doesn’t mean that it will get seen 24-hours a day. There’s a reason that the Las Vegas Strip is lit up like the fourth of July every single night: they have to get seen at night. Depending on what kind of business you’re in, this can be the difference between success and failure.
  • #2: Finding the right customers. A customer who’s looking for your ATM at night isn’t going to notice that poor, dimly-lit sign that has virtually no illumination; but they are going to notice an Illuminated, Backlit Sign that says “ATM” on it. Gas stations, all-night ATMs, and a number of other businesses depend on showing themselves to the customers who are already looking for them. You’d better do the same if you hope to compete.
  • #3: Capturing evening and early morning traffic. Many people think that illuminated or backlit signs are only for those all-night businesses listed above. But if you have a business that’s open late or early, an illuminated, backlit sign can mean the difference between getting seen and getting ignored. You want your potential customers to be able to spot you before the sun is fully up in the sky, because that’s when you can outdo any local competitors.
  • #4: A sign that isn’t illuminated won’t be treated with the same “respect” and authority as illuminated signs, which is why you’ll find so many fire departments using backlit, illuminated signs. You don’t only want to get seen, but you want what your sign says to be read by an active community.
  • #5: Letting people know when you’re open or closed. Finally, we close on one of the most important aspects of these signs that business owners forget: you should use lights to let people know when they should stop pulling up to the door and expecting service.

If you’re interested in using backlit, illuminated signs for your business, then maybe it’s time to throw out that outdated sign you’re currently using and think about upgrading to something more sophisticated. Contact us at Sign It Quick and we’ll be glad to consult with you on a backlit sign that will draw more attention and keep the business running—even when the sun’s not up.
